Foreign Bodies

2020 Jan

For the module Stage and Exhibition Management, my group was tasked to curate a photo exhibition from scratch. My team and I created an exhibition titled "Foreign Bodies" which aimed to show the lifestyle of foreign workers in Singapore and to show that they are more than their job title.

What I Did:​

  • Captured relevant photographs for the exhibition

  • Brainstormed the layout of the exhibition 

  • Sourced for materials which were unique to our theme

  • Handled the finances of our exhibition

  • Set up of the exhibition

  • Ensured safety for teammates and visitors

  • Ensured the exhibition was able to stand-alone for 1 week

  • Tried to stimulate all 5 senses through the exhibition

    • Innovated an audio sensory experience​

    • Created a reflective hands-on activity

Dance Outreach

2019 Jan

For the modules Dance in the Performing Arts and Visual Communication, my group was tasked to curate an exhibition about any traditional dance form.

 

My team and I decided to focus on Barong dance. This exhibition was held in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and was located outside one of the foodcourts.

What I Did:​

  • Designed 2 posters for the exhibition

  • Created interactive activities for participants

  • Collated all collaterals related to the exhibition

  • Research for factual and reliable information

  • Hosted and emceed throughout the exhibition

  • Mediating between teammates due to issues with commitment differences
